Teaching Steps

Step 1: Review assessment

This is a concept and skills assessment, asking students to write an article about solving a sleep problem. Distribute the ʺSleep Barriers Backgroundʺ sheet. Tell students they can use the information it contains when completing their writing assignment.

Step 2: Review assessment and scoring rubric with students

The handout can be printed for each student – or projected onto a whiteboard for classroom discussion. Optional: Review the scoring rubric with students to help them best understand how their answers will be assessed.

Step 3: Collect student responses and score using "Solve a Sleep Problem Rubric"
