Teaching Steps

Step 1: Preview the Interactive Presentation
  • Click on the Interactive Presentation. On the top right of each slide, you’ll see the letter “i”. Click on it to view the Teacher Notes.
  • Review or print the Teacher Resources handout, “Interactive Presentation Slide Notes.” This PDF includes a small version of each slide and the “Teacher Notes.” Keep in mind that to understand the real “interactivity” of the whiteboard lesson, you will need to look at the slides themselves.
Step 2: Review “Test Readiness Basics”

As you prepare to teach this lesson, you may find it helpful to review the Teacher Resource called “Test Readiness Basics,” which explains why it’s helpful to learn the benefits of sleep, exercise, breakfast and deep breathing to get ready for a test. You don't have to share this with your students – it’s just background to make teaching the lesson easier for you.

Step 3: Show the Interactive Presentation to your students

Don't have an interactive whiteboard? Display these slides using a standard projector system. Write key concepts on the chalkboard. Or print out the “Teacher Notes” and lead a classroom discussion covering these health concepts.
