Medical Marijuana Has No Impact on Teen Drug Use

Parents concerned about the legalization of marijuana can breathe a sigh of relief: A new study finds no correlation between the legalization of marijuana for medical use and an increase in teen drug use.

To reach this conclusion, researchers at Montana State University looked at data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Youth Risky Behavior Survey for 13 states that had legalized medical marijuana between 1993 and 2009.

Today, 17 states and the District of Columbia have legalized medical marijuana.
