Advocacy
Advocacy "means
showing you feel strongly about actions that are healthy and encourage others
to make healthy choices." Student demonstrate appropriate application
of this skill when they can show they believe in the health message, understand
the purpose of the message, give good reasons why the message is good for
health, and include all complete and correct information. Some examples
of activities that help to build this skill include producing brochures,
shirts, songs, or posters with healthful messages. (from: Assessing Health
Literacy: A Guide to Portfolios).
